Founded in 2008, the Bay Area Diaper Bank provides disposable diapers to families in need through our partner agencies
In
the San Francisco Bay Area, there are over 60,000 children under the age
of five who are living below the poverty level
The
cost of a healthy change of diapers for one child is about $100 a month
Food
stamps and the WIC program do not cover the cost of diapers
In
low-income households, babies often spend the entire day or longer in
a single diaper. Inadequate diaper changing leads to numerous health risks
and problems
